Day at the farm

We did this shoot last week in Queen Creek and had a lot of fun doing it. Towards the end we played with the horse and he seemed to have made a connection with me because he would not stop watching me and made all sorts of faces at me. It was a blast modeling the new lemonsandlace pink flower headband!
One more thing, can you believe that I did not curl my hair for this shoot? It is actually that way because I took it out of the updo! Never curling my hairs again! Tutorial coming soon, it is the easiest undo to do when you're in a hurry I did it on the way to the shoot even ask my husband he was witness lol
The white flower headband I actually made. It was an easy small project I did not too long ago. I've seen some at Claire's but when you're in a budget, WalMart .50 c flowers might be the way to go :)

Lemonsandlace headband

This was taken on April 1st at the Riparian Park in Gilbert. I specially LOVED that day because I got to work with Dominique (she's my hair stylist!) which she's also a really good friend of mine from high school she works at Habit salon she's amazing at hair!
I got to model 2 different headbands for lemons and lace! They have the cutest stuff and I got to dress it up with fun outfits that worked out perfectly.

One of the cool things about these three looks is the different make up styles.

Most girls I know stick to one look because they think it works best for them, but I am the complete opposite of that. I'm here to teach you all that change is GOOD! And I did these looks so you can all see what I am getting to. I will reveal the darkest secret at the very end of this page.

Make up: For the RED lip, I used Magenta lip liner and Ruby Woo lipstick from MAC. This is a look I was taught by our regional make up artist to demonstrate that there are millions of ways to use a red lip, but if you really wanna make it stand out, use these two products best tip ever. Use the liner first, outline your lips pretty thick, about midway towards your inner lip then lipstick all over. After that, grab either a lip liner brush or angled liner and make it like an ombre from magenta to red. This will make it so your lips look like a rose petal and look very velvety its the prettiest red lip ever.

Outfit: For the camo turban, I wore American Apparel white lace shirt and the green riding pants also from AA with Jeffrey Campbell boots and the cover up is from Nordstrom.

Outfit: For the cheetah turban, I went with an orange top from Forever 21 and squared print pants but unfortunately I got them at a thrift store!

Make up: So for this NUDE lip, I used two lipsticks and no lip liner. You can get away with using no lipliner when it comes to doing nude colors, but wanna make sure that theres at least some kind of dimension to it. What I mean by that is using 2 different lipsticks to make it so your lips don't look like you have NO lips which I see this happen a lot. I used Siss lipstick and Myth both from MAC, Siss is the darker nude and it goes on first throughout the whole lip and Myth goes in the middle. It makes them look like you've got full scrumptious lips!

Outfit: For the lake I wore the same AA white lace shirt, and the flowy dress is also from a thrift store because I didnt want to ruin any of my other clothes!

Make up: This was the easiest of all, because I actually used one of the previews products and added a lipstick. Every girl needs to own this lipstick, because it can be worn in so many different ways and for this one I made it a little more pink.
Secret-- Magenta lip liner with HEROINE lipstick from MAC.
Thats it! Go get it!

Special thanks to Monica Mae photography for doing such a beautiful job and Dominique Graham for doing the different hair styles love you girl!

And drum roll....

Ok so the secret to all of this is that I only changed my lipstick 3 times and had the same eye make up for the whole shoot! Every time I show people this their mouths drop, because my eye make up really looks different in every look! It's amazing how much your lip color can change the way your whole face looks.

For my eyes it was simple, you can use neutral earth tones, don't add too much color because it can throw it all off. Make sure to use primer for the shadows so they dont crease and secret to any good eye make up application is using the right tools!!! No fingers or crap brushes, but nice sturdy ones. I have run out of room so I will actually do a tutorial for this eye look so you can all follow me. This was just a preview and I hope you all enjoyed reading my novel! lol
until next time,
